My first instinct is something caught from the wildlife here. I'd probably quarantine him to be safe, even if it looks like he's already interacted with half the island. That might not account for the power thing.
If it's not that, then it's either something to do with the oncoming phenomenon, or something he ingested. Could be a combination of factors.
Depends on exactly what he ate or drank. The whole batch doesn't have to be bad.
And I can only take guesses without a closer examination. Sounds like you're better off having the doctor take a look. If he's awake and talking, it's probably not urgent.
As for the number of bodies, I've explained that too. [though, that was a while ago, so there may be a begrudging pause in the texts here before he continues] The warping is unstable; there hasn't been a large number of deaths on the island at once since before we came, so there's no telling what would happen. We're keeping an eye on it each week to make sure we're keeping it as stable as possible.
We've already changed the number of bodies needed. We might need to adjust again, but that depends on what happens the next time we see it.
