[ It's the repetition that gets him, as odd as that is—hands mean so much to him, but as he is now, they're just an accessory for a style and maybe a reminder that he's come this far not to be bothered by any of that anymore. There's no possible way she can know everything that's running through his mind, and he's not going to explain, he probably couldn't even if he wanted.
What does a hand like this mean? He's not sure, but he's also not going to reject it. He didn't reject the fourteen placed upon him when he was five, and this one is— ]
[ Of course, Moravia doesn't know. None of the psychokinetic abilities at her disposal allow her to. She simply responded with words lacking in her typical ambiguity, buoyed by the happiness she felt at having a frank conversation with him.
So she can't help but feel a little startled when she sees that expression on Shigaraki's face.
For some reason, memories of the past Yukinami bubble up in the back of her mind. The lost boy who she wasn't sure how to help, and yet wanted to anyway. And so she lent him her hand back then, fleeing with him to somewhere they may eventually find peace.
Nothing about this situation is the same, and yet...why did that come to mind now? She doesn't know. But she wasn't sure of much back then either, right? So, maybe there isn't a need to feel a little off kilter at the sight. She can handle things better now as an adult than as a runaway child.

At least she came to that conclusion before he started speaking again. ]
[ As if to shake herself out of her stupor, Moravia blinks multiple times during that one moment. This time she doesn't respond, but with a practiced ease, she runs after him, gradually upping her pace to match his. ]

He knows that much, at least. He shakes the bare shock from his face with another laugh, this one quieter but softer at the very edge. ]
Yeah, it is. Then let's go. [ He'll give her a moment but after that he will break out into a run, like the shounen he is. Time to scout for real. ]
