shigaraki has had love before, knows what it is, and also has come to the conclusion that the way his life has happened, he is both utterly incapable of it, but also rejects it all the same. hes not here to entertain arguments of how it could save him because... well where was all that when it mattered, huh? its too late now.

all of which is to say im so sorry he just basically told nona to fuck off because its his instinctual response. hes not a tsun, hes just incompatible with emotions/affections being shown that way from a pure angle. obviously he can care and show his own version of "love" but its this twisted, enigmatic thing... and even then, he shoved toga away pretty hard early on until he finally got used to it (and togas love is lol).
