generally speaking, shigaraki is hard to actually piss off nowadays. its all this zen about accepting who he is + knowing people are gonna hate him and that's fine? literally his entire life since childhood.

all that being said he's still human and he quickly filed merlin into "one of those guys" who gets his jollies out of being as annoying as possible. which is really funny bc lmfao.

you can be assured that manchild shigy would have been super bratty towards him instantly and lamely lol.

all of the above aside, shigaraki is always willing to kill 99.9% of people. its not personal??? i cant say with merlin it was but it certainly was something along the lines of scratching a good itch (hah).

he didnt put 2 thoughts into merlin after they killed him, bc why would he? its done with and over. until it wasnt and!!!

augh. fundamentally, on a base level, he just disagrees with resurrection and coming back from the dead. the gamer side of him can wrap his head around it, but the other part of him that embodies his quirk hates it. its unnatural, destroyed/decayed/dead things should stay dead!!!!!!

also the ooey gooey parts of the resurrection spell (at least how he perceived it) made him :|

still, shigy doesnt mind being hated or death threats or any of that, its super natural to him so it didnt bug him that merlin wanted his head. the only part that did was how he was telling the group that he couldnt be trusted cuz shigy was like:

its really funny because their first convo and tryst wasn't anything approaching anything close to feelings on sonyas end and then death and the gy happened lol.

sonya is capable of feeling grateful and hes also incredibly delusional as merlin probably knows by now, so like.... he appreciates feeling that merlin recognizes him as the next coming of Stalin because obviously thats what catching his soul for him and reviving him means, right!?!?!

not that he expects anything out of it, but for as much as sonya can feel something resembling fondness, its there with merlin.
