I love how basically this ended up as a last-minute decision, but you still managed to have Zelkov's presence blossom into very much a memorable one amongst the rest of the cast!
So let's start with the fact that he became basically a mascot with his refreshers, but I was actually amused as anyone else when the whole entire Maxeta episode happened. I sincerely imagined, if this was like some kind of comedic segue in a TV show - you know, not without considering the danger aspect - it would be the whole entire lab exploration turned battle crew yelling and screaming while camera pans to Zelkov carving driftwood unawares which I actually did minorly comment about as a joke. But mentioning that because of my terrible sense of humor
Also, in general, it was actually great to see Zelkov mingle in various respects with the cast, very much enjoyed seeing him interact with Lacus and Shuda, as well as being one of the rare voices of reason as everyone kept having their moments (which were amazing, but Zelkov's moments were being the logical voice of reason to contrast!)
Also just a scant months ago I had finished playing Engage so I'll just slip in this fact that you nailed Zelkov's voice very well! He was actually one of my favorite characters (besides Kagetsu and Rosado, because of course I liked them well, lmfao) and I was super stoked to see him in-game. Kudos to that, Eric, you did real swell!!
Moving right along, I ostensibly enjoyed the CR between Merlin and Zelkov greatly. It could've gone much worse, considering Merlin's everything, but somehow events unfolded the way they did, and I feel that it ended up feeling natural. I liked the fact that surprisingly, they were similar in ways I never expected them to be, despite their personalities being veritably different in various respects. I think that is what enabled them to actually really connectbesides the lucky dice roll coughs and not have one side just permanently exasperated with the other (which would have been Zelkov lbr)
I really appreciate that we had a chance to have some real good CR in a murdergame, and for putting up with this dickwizard
I look forward to other opportunities to play again in a murdergame or other games/places/etc. whenever things align again! Thank you for bringing yourself and Zelkov into the game!!
